Tahiri is a nisba (attributive) form derived from the Arabic root ط-ه-ر (T-H-R), which relates to purity and cleanliness. The name literally means 'one who is pure' or 'belonging to purity.' It describes someone who is morally and physically clean, innocent, and free from defects or blemishes. The nisba suffix '-i' transforms the adjective Tahir into a more personalized form, making it a distinctive given name used across Arabic-speaking and Muslim cultures.
