Arabic origin, deeply rooted in Islamic naming traditions. This is a theophoric compound name that emerged from Islamic practice of naming children as 'servants of' (Abd/Abdu) virtuous attributes or qualities.
In Islamic and Arab culture, names beginning with 'Abd' followed by a divine attribute or virtue represent a spiritual dedication to that quality. The plural form 'Al-Saliheen' emphasizes alignment with the righteous community (Ummah) and serves as an aspirational name reflecting hopes that the bearer will embody righteousness and virtue.
