This name originates from Classical Arabic and follows the Islamic naming tradition of creating diminutive forms from virtuous root words. The practice of forming hypocoristic names is deeply embedded in Arab and Islamic culture, where such affectionate variations are commonly used within families and intimate circles.
In Islamic and Arabic culture, names derived from the S-L-H root are highly valued for their positive connotations of righteousness and moral integrity.
