Daniyel
Danyly
DAN-yel or dah-NEE-el. The Italian-influenced variant 'Danyly' would be pronounced similarly to 'DAN-lee' in English contexts.
إحدى الصيغ الإيطالية للاسم دانيال المأخوذ عن العبرية بمعنى الرب قاضي. يستخدم للذكور.
Danyly is an Italian variant form of the name Daniel (دانيال), which comes from Hebrew origin. The name is composed of two Hebrew elements: 'Din' meaning 'judge' and 'El' meaning 'God.' Therefore, the name literally translates to 'God is my judge' or 'God is my judge.' While the Arabic form Daniyel is well-established, Danyly represents a less common Italian-influenced transliteration used primarily in Western contexts.

Danyly originates as an Italian adaptation of the Hebrew name Daniel. The name entered Arabic and Islamic culture through historical contact with Mediterranean and European languages, becoming known as Daniyel in standard Arabic usage.
While Daniel (Daniyel) holds significant importance in Islamic tradition as a biblical prophet mentioned in the Quran, the specific Italian variant 'Danyly' is rarely used in Arabic-speaking or Muslim-majority regions. The name maintains cultural value among Arab Christians and in Western-influenced contexts where European name variants are more common. The underlying name Daniel carries prophetic significance in Islamic theology and tradition.
Different spellings and forms of Daniyel across languages
The name Daniel (Daniyel in Arabic) appears in the Quran, most notably in Surah Al-Anbya (Chapter 21). The Prophet Daniel is mentioned as one of the righteous prophets and is revered in Islamic tradition for his piety, wisdom, and interpretation of divine signs. While the Italian variant 'Danyly' is not specifically mentioned in the Quran, it is a transliteration variation of the Quranic name Daniyel.
