“And [recall, O believers], when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might abduct you, when He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that perhaps you would be grateful.”
قَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ آيَةٌ فِي فِئَتَيْنِ الْتَقَتَا ۖ فِئَةٌ تُقَاتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأُخْرَىٰ كَافِرَةٌ يَرَوْنَهُم مِّثْلَيْهِمْ رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصْرِهِ مَن يَشَاءُ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّأُولِي الْأَبْصَارِ
“There has certainly been for you a sign in the two armies which met - one fighting in the cause of Allah and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] four times their [own] number. But Allah supports with His victory whom He wills.”
الَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُوا مِن دِيَارِهِم بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ إِلَّا أَن يَقُولُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ۗ وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ اللَّهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لَّهُدِّمَتْ صَوَامِعُ وَبِيَعٌ وَصَلَوَاتٌ وَمَسَاجِدُ يُذْكَرُ فِيهَا اسْمُ اللَّهِ كَثِيرًا ۗ وَلَيَنصُرَنَّ اللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ
“Those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they said, 'Our Lord is Allah.' And were it not that Allah repels the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished [many] monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support His cause.”
