وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ نَصِيرًا
“And why should you not fight in the cause of Allah and for those weak, ill-treated and oppressed among men, women, and children, whose cry is: 'Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from You one who will protect us, and raise for us from You one who will help us.'”
وَإِن يَصِلُوا إِلَيْكُمْ يَضِرُّوكُمْ ۚ وَقَدْ يَكُفُّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ ۚ وَإِن تَكُونُوا عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِّنْ رَّبِّكُمْ فَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ
“But if they turn away, know that Allah is your Protector (Waliy)—the best of protectors and the best of helpers.”
مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنتَ فِيهِمْ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
“But Allah would not punish them while you, [O Muhammad], are among them, and Allah would not punish them while they seek forgiveness.”
أَلَا إِنَّ أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّهِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
“Unquestionably, those who believe and do righteous deeds—for them are the gardens of pleasure, wherein they will abide. That is the promise of Allah, which is the truth, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.”
اللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمُ الطَّاغُوتُ يُخْرِجُونَهُم مِّنَ النُّورِ إِلَى الظُّلُمَاتِ
“Allah is the Waliy (Protector and Guardian) of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light. And those who disbelieve—their allies are the false deities. They take them out of the light into darknesses.”
